Located at the Maksoud Plaza Hotel lobby, Frank Bar offers the best of craft cocktails under the command of Spencer Amereno, one of Brazil's best-known bartenders. With handcrafted productions, authorial drinks, traditional cocktails, and revamped classics, Frank Bar is a constant presence in Sao Paulo's best bars lists.

Inaugurated on April 30, 2015, the bar is named in honor of the singer Frank Sinatra, who performed at Maksoud Plaza in 1981. To top off the experience, prominent Brazilian artists perform the best of live jazz from Thursday to Saturday.

Frank Bar was considered one of the best drink destinations in São Paulo by the renowned restaurant review site Eater and was three times in the World 100 Best Bars list (2017, 2018 and 2019). It also has won several national awards, such as Melhores da Folha de S.Paulo and Veja Comer e Beber.

Spencer Amereno Jr.

Frank Bar's head bartender began his career at age 22. Today, he is recognized by several specialized publications as one of the greatest Brazilian names in the cocktail scene. Spencer is responsible for the development of Frank Bar's drinks menus, which is increasingly influenced by haute cuisine and the seasonality of ingredients. His work also has the influence of the so-called forgotten cocktails, presented in both classic and updated versions.

Throughout his professional career, Spencer has received several awards, such as Best Bartender by the Veja Comer e Beber guide for three years (2016-2017, 2014-2015 and 2012-2013), Bartender of the Year (2012 and 2017) by Revista da Folha, Best Bartender by O Melhor de São Paulo 2018 (Folha de S.Paulo), and Best Bartender by the Brazilian Sommeliers Association, in 2018 and 2019.
